When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.Archer's Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

Bree Prescott, having lost her mother to cancer at a tender age, witnesses her father's brutal murder in their family deli. She subsequently struggles with PTSD, exacerbated by rainy nights and thunderstorms, which serve as a grim reminder of the traumatic event. Seeking escape and solace, Bree relocates to Pelion, where she encounters Archer Hale, a young man rendered mute by a traumatic event from his own past.

Archer's story is one of unmitigated tragedy, his mother Alyssa having fallen prey to the machinations of the Hale brothers, who ruthlessly exploited her vulnerability. The consequences of their actions culminate in a devastating confrontation, leaving Archer's uncle, Connor, mortally wounded, and Archer himself bereft of his voice.

Through their relationship, Sheridan expertly explores the dialectical tension between love and trauma, revealing the ways in which the former can serve as a balm for the latter. As Bree and Archer navigate their complicated pasts, they find solace and strength in each other's company, their bond serving as a testament to the transformative power of love.

My own line of thought; this is a great novel. At first, I dropped it but just like Bree, I became curious about Archer & as I progressed, I couldn't drop it anymore because this novel will bring smiles to your face & tears to your eyes. The "romance" part was great, I can imagine Bree seducing Archer & the latter learning quickly and giving her the pleasure she needs. TBH, I had to scroll back to make sure I wasn't reading a harlequin series. I can't find any fault & the author, Mia deserves the title of a "New York/ USA best-selling author".

I would've reviewed this novel before "to catch a firefly" but I got attracted by the cover of the latter. In case you want to know what attracted me to this one; it's the title "Archer's voice" & now I know that Bree is truly "Archer's voice"❤️😍

Tell me you won't be interested if you see that "to catch a firefly" cover😂

All the summaries and reviews are my personal uninfluenced opinion of the book.
